Hi all!

One tough Summer alright.
Us old farts of Southcoast Sportbikers find it ALOT more fun to do track days.
Grampa Joe invited Jeff from your group to come along to Thunderhill 10/9. I think he's still smiling! It was great meeting and riding with Jeff, I'm sure he's hooked and we'll see alot more of him because of it.
Thanks for coming Jeff, we enjoyed your company!

Hey Jeffery...

I heard you were talking smack to Grampa Joe Joe... saying you were going to kick his poor ol' behind... Good luck with that (his walking cane gives him special riding powers). Rumor has it, even Crotch Rocket Chris couldn't keep up with him this time... his powers must me getting stronger. Glad to hear you guys had a good time. Awesome pictures. Looks like a very fun track.

PS... Good to see you on here CRC!!! :bounce:

If you ever want to trade my little red bike for your pretty black one for a few days... you just let me know... it sounds like you won't be playing with it for a while since you have your new toy.

I do, seriously, want to talk about getting one of your BEAUTIFUL  pipes on my bike once the rains set in. That would be the whipped cream AND the cherry on my little red rocket.

:D

Hello Ledkat,

I don't know about that rumor but I can certainly say Joe has vastly improved over the Summer, largely do to the 5 track days he attended this season. I think it's the soft compound caps he put on the feet of his walker that's doing it.
I had to seriously flogg the 748 to catch him only to lose ground when we hit the main straight to the tune of about 10 bike lengths. It would take me all 3 miles of one lap to get on his back wheel by the time we hit the straight only to see him disappear again. We had a ball!
When I hopped on the ZX10R it was another story. :rad: It was more like :bash:

Your pipe? Sure. The 10R? How about if we trade bikes on a weekend ride?:bounce:

I was kidding about swapping bikes... but I'm always up for trading on a ride for a while.
I was surprised to hear that Gramps 600RR was pulling away in the straights...out of curiosity, why would a 600 be so much faster than a 748?

The 748 V- twin is rated at 90 hp, the honda at 105.
The 748 weighs 468 gassed up, the 600RR about 415.
Gramps weighs 180, me 205.
10 lbs. = one horse power, gained or lost.
However, I think I might be down to 190 now after working so hard to stay with him for two back to back stints. ;)
