Well, the insurance guy just left. Now I get to sit around and wait for someone in Salem to call and tell me what they have deciced to do about fixing my bike. All this after waiting over a week for someone to come write a paint estimate for it and to get parts quotes. What a royal pain in the butt. I wonder how the insurance company would like it if I sent them on a scavenger hunt for their payment every month.:yell:

Ok I'm better, just had to rant for a minute. Not sure how this is gonna go down. The parts are going to be nearly 1400 bucks. I'm probably going to have to eat it on the labor or paint to keep them from totalling it. Just gotta wait and see:idunno: Mad props to the guy at cottage grove Yamaha! He spent nearly an hour on the phone with me trying to match internet prices for me, and did a really good job. He couldn't beat most of them, but after shipping charges, it's just about even. Beat ramsey waite by over 200 bucks.
Anyway, got another doc appt this afternoon, so I'm out!
Peace,
B

It's kinda like waiting 45 minutes at the doctor's office with you ass hanging out in an air conditioned room, eh?:mooning:

Thanks Mike. I think I'm gonna need it.

Keshtie- Kinda like that, but worse. I have no idea how this is gonna turn out.
From what the doctor said yesterday, I don't even know if they are going to let me continue to ride. Have to go in for an MRI now. Still no work or play. This is getting f:censored:ng boring! Kinda scary too. Ive never had a doctor get so serious on me before. He said I may be very close to severing the nerve that controls my left hand / arm. So hurry up and wait some more till they can get me in for an MRI. At least they gave me a couple more big bottles of the "happy pills":p

I dunno Kneedragger. I thought everyone knew I wrecked on the 10-1 ride to the coast. Just been cooped up in this house ever since, except for docs appts. Starting to get cabin fever:crazy: Given me plenty of time to be on here though:D
Peace,
B

Trust me, I'm dying to get back out there.Been doing nothing but sitting around thinking about how nice it is outside, and how nice it would be to go for a ride. Finally got every little thing to satisfy the insurance (hopefully) to them this morning. Just gotta sit back and wait for them to crunch the numbers now. and keep taking the happy pills the doctor gave me:sleep:

No, I did not know. I think I rode on Saturday cause I had some housework to catch up on. I think I may have vaguely caught something about somebody that wrecked, but everyone else just wrote here like it was just a rip-roaring happy time.....

I hope ur doing good and I had no idea that u were so seriously injured.

Other than wrecking the bike it was a great time. We duct taped the bike back together, and I finished the ride with the group. It wasn't till that night I started to think that I may be more than just sore, and had better get to a doctor. The next morning it was very apparent I wasn't just sore, so I went to urgent care, and been nothing but fun since:censored:
I'm doing better, and I apreciate the well wishes. Hopefully I'll be back out there soon!:ride: I'd better be, or I'll be out trying to take twisties in my jeep

At least your dr gave you more happy pills. My back still hurts me badly at times, and they say I shouldn't need any more pills. Ibuprofen and all that other stuff thats supposed to work, doesn't even touch the pain. Sometimes I can barely function at work. I am trying to cut hair, or do nails when I am having back spasms so hard, my arms are jerking all around... Its humiliating.

I guess I am a true jerk...

Jane,
I am so sorry to hear you have back problems too. I had a low lumbar surgery about 10 years ago, and have dealt with that stuff off-and-on ever since. I wouldn't wish it on anybody. I'd start looking for a new doc.
