MotoGP World Championship Will Make Annual North American Stop At Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca July 20-22; Public Tickets Will Be Sold November 1

MONTEREY, Calif. (August 9, 2006) – The Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP) announced today the dates for the 2007 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix featuring the MotoGP World Championship and the AMA Superbike Championship. The largest motorcycle race in North America will take place at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca July 20-22, 2007. The date for the event is tentative, subject to the release of the full FIM calendar in September.

Despite record high temperatures, 145,111 spectators witnessed Nicky Hayden win his second consecutive home Grand Prix in 2006, stretching his World Championship points lead in the process.

The Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca remains the only North American stop on the MotoGP World Championship calendar.

Tickets for the 2007 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix will be available to the general public beginning November 1, 2006.

Tickets and information for the remaining events on the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca 2006 calendar, including the 33rd Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races August 18-20 and the Monterey Sports Car Championships featuring the American Le Mans Series October 20-22 are available by calling (800) 327-SECA or on-line at www.laguna-seca.com (http://www.laguna-seca.com/).

Im gonna have to do it overseas. For the money coughed up to get there I am looking at a "flyer miles ticket" and besides I got plenty of friends there too...

Probably Assen, but I have never been to the "petite" Sachsenring yet. Whats cool about the Sachsenring is I speak their language.

yeah, the 10R or especially the 500 would be good bikes to ride down on, But I rode to San Fran before.... personally I would rather trailer down and ride with my current bike..... Although Monterey is gonna be full of bikes from around the country

Whoa... The 10R sucks for distance, especially on the straights. I just have to keep my mind focused on the sections with corners!
