They're illegal to use on the streets. Can't have any lights on underneith your vehicle when you're out on public roads...no matter what color they are.

You can have them, just can't turn them on unless you're off road, on private property, or in a show.

I would like to see the legal definition of what you just described. I have heard many things from many people over the years and there is a lot he says, she says, going around. So forgive me for being a bit skeptical without seeing the legal jargon that actually dictates the regulations that you have described. I just read an older copy of the Oregon Vehicle Code book and there is not mention in the lighting section of anything pertaining to under-vehicle lighting or its restriction.

 Couldn't you go to the OR Dept of Trans. sight and find something on vehicle lighting?
Should be something? Or DMV?

Trust me, from personal experience (and several times at that), they're illegal. I'll get a copy from the '06 code book just for you. Just give me a few days.
