Mike requested that I post some pics from my seat mod so here they are.....
To start here is a pic of my budies Sargent seat that I used to model mine after.

First couple pics are the rough cut of the seat padding that was added.

Next are pics of a demo covering that I used to figure out the right size for the actuall seat cover.

Finally, the finished product. The whole seat took me a couple weeks of some pretty intense man hours. The hand stitching probably took the most time for any of the individual steps (I don't have a sewing machine, and I was too impatient to track one down, also the tight turns in 3D contours make me think that it would take a special sewing machine to do it anyway.) Working on the seat drove my GF insane.:blah-blah

So, yeah I am pretty happy with the way it turned out :clapping: , but in hindsight I don’t think that I would do it again. It was just kinda way to much time. (I am a horrible perfectionist:bash: )

Well I hope that this inspires someone to get creative and try something new...If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me or just reply to this thread and I will try to answer then, but I think that it's pretty clear in general.

I got a chance to sit on it, and I can tell you that it is a MAJOR improvement over stock for that bike!

Yeah it took long enough that I would probably not do it again:frown:, I mean I am happy with the result. It couldn't be much better in my mind, but it took about two weeks during the school term so I am sure my grades suffered a bit because of it. During the two weeks I was tracking down fabric and making measurement after measurement to get it just right. So in other words a sane person could do it in less than half the time. As fare as actuall number of man hours I can't imagine, but basically too many. :bash:
