it was awesome... found some leather pants that will be my next purchase... and found the bike i'm probably going to try to buy eventually. gotta say i love that new CBR! plus i can actually touch the ground on it fairly well :bounce: yayyyy!!!!

Wow...I like that CBR a bit better than last years. Nice bike. :thumbup: Cant wait to see the rest of them. Im hoping someone got some pics of the '07 R1.

Okay, Im going to say this and probably be labled as a heretic, but IN MY OPINION, Most italian bikes are garbage! What is it with slapping an Italian flag sticker on a bike or a car and all of a sudden the price and awe factor quadriples? Their frames are porly designed, and not well balanced. Their suspension is not the best. They're UGLY. And the motor is absolute garbage if you have to fork out that kind of money every 5,000 miles for a tune up. I dont know how long its been since Ive seen ANY Italian bike win a Moto GP. Ive seen ITALIAN MEN riding JAPANESE BIKES winning Moto GP, and doesnt that tell you something when they wont even ride their OWN bikes? Im sorry, But again, I just don't understand the hype. Give me a quality Japanese bike that will whoop about any Italian junk bike in speed, handling, looks, maintainance, AND endurance anyday!

Dood, do you watch MotoGP! At the last MotoGP race at Valencia this year, Troy Bayliss and Loris Capirossi finish in postions 1 & 2. They were riding Ducs...

Edit:
Even though Ducs are fast, require a lot of maintenance, and are overpriced, Ducati can be considered the Italian version of Harley Davidson.

dan i'm so glad you brought up that last race, you took the words right out of my mouth!! and mike, i dont know if you've ever ridden a duc, but they feel totally different... and that difference is amazing to me. its just like anything else in this world, people have their preferences, and what floats one persons boat, might sink another. i might have the same complaints about american cars being unreliable and overpriced... but you dont see me going on a rant every time one of my friends buys a ford.

Actually I have ridden several Duc's, Ive ridden the MV, and a few others, and never was impressed. You'll have to excuse me today. I usually do really well at keeping my opinions to myself, but for some reason today Im just agrivated. appologies.

We had so much fun at the bike show. Tess and I ran around and checked out all the cool bikes and ignored the ugly ones! Well, we ignored some of the ugly ones. The Ural was too fun not to play on! Got a killer deal on a new helmet that I want to have Ed do a new paint job for me. Tom inspected every motorcycle while Tess and I watched and laughed. He is such a guy! "check out this motor and would you look at those pipes!" So, while he was doing tech inspection, Tess and I were sitting on bikes and trying on clothes (she tried on the clothes! And did they look cute!). All in all, it was a great evening. I had to find out what the new FJR looks like and was disappointed at the boring color they painted it! But, hey, that makes mine even better!!

Got to see Rossi, Hacking and Zemke's bikes.

we went friday james... i didnt see anyone i knew either! i drooled over rossi's bike for an inordinate amount of time... wishing he was there, signing autographs or something equally cool! :bounce:
