Veneta, Roseburg, Florence, Bend.....We don't care! It's the spirit that counts. Now make sure you go over to OSB and get acquainted with those folks. Most of the ESB peeps are there too.
I expect us to be to 200 when I check back Sunday after I finish my work week!!

I know a couple of guys on another board who live in Portland. I'll see if I can get them to join up.

Thanks Carlo,
this 200 members thing doesn't really mean much. It kinda keeps me entertained. I just think it's so cool that there are that many riders mostly in this area. Make sure your buds check out OregonSportBike. That's the place for them and ALL of us. It's the young sister to this Forum.

:rad: :ride: :rad:I know it's not important in the grand scheme of things, but it's nice to know you're popular. Glad I was able to send a couple your way.
I'll check out the other site. Nice to know there's some local stuff happing in "the scene".
I've visited some of the California based rider's sites, and they're excellent resources with a lot of people participating.
The road reports are really valuable, and I hope we get the same kind of thing going on here.

The Road reports were really handy last season. I'm guessing they'll be even better this coming season.:clapping: :bounce:
Is California a place you travel too or come from? I'm originally from the Bay area. :idunno:

Is California a place you travel too or come from? I'm originally from the Bay area. :idunno: I was born in California, moved to Oregon when I was 12, finished high school and 1 year college here, then moved back to California for about 12 years, then came back here. I consider myself to be a "west coast native" rather than Oregon or California". My dad was born here.
My family and I make it to the Bay Area every June or July. My wife's family has a place in Bolinas right on the lagoon near the end of Wharf Rd. We stay there when we're in the Bay Area. I usually ride down and meet them, sometimes trailer a bike down (either way, I ALWAYS take a bike down!) and do the highway 1 ride on Sunday morning.
Since we're on the subject of roads, could you possibly add a section for "trip/ride reports", or somesuch where people can talk about routes/roads that they'd like to share?
That would be of great benefit to anyone who's new in the area, or anyone contemplating a trip to this area.
Even those of us who've been here awhile could benefit. I'm quite sure there are many great roads within 100 miles of us that I don't know about yet.
It could even turn into a "Pashnit Oregon" thing.
Perhaps it would be more appropriate to have that on oregonsportbike, or each region could have their own, with one on oregonsportbike that lists them all?
As someone who spent many years exploring the great roads in Northern California, I can testify that we've got roads here to equal the best they have to offer down there, and we really ought to let people know about them.
Maybe even get in touch with Pashnit to see if he'd like to set up reciprocal links.
