Met a guy with a ZX10R named Aaron downtown this afternoon (monday, 2/12) who said I should check into this site.
I'll be trying to make it to some of the bike nights at Papa's pizza when that gets going for the season.

I usually ride an Aprilia Caponord. Not exactlly a sportbike, but it seems to do ok, except for somewhat limited ground clearance because of some of the junk I've got added to it. Acquitted itself fairly well at a PSSR track day at PIR summer before last. Not the fastest out there by any means, but not the slowest either.

The bikes listed in my sig line are kind of a gentle dig at sig lines that some people have listingt all their toys. (not that there's anything wrong with that, some of my best friends do it )
The Enfield stuff is just the spare parts I've acquired as an Enfield nut over a period of way more years than I care to mention.

For the record, I do have bikes that run. The non-basket cases I have include a 1966 Interceptor, and a 1959 Tomahawk (during the 50's, all Royal Enfields sold in the US were titled as Indians, and given rather silly model names to suit), both of which are complete, although the Interceptor isn't running at present.
I've also got a 1965 BMW R69S, a 1970 BSA 441SS (Shooting Star, roadgoing model of the Victor), and a 1982 BMW R100RT (which I don't consider part of the vintage collection at all, since I ride it to work regularly all year.

Of the other "junk" I've listed in the sig line, both Hondas are complete, and the 125 twin actually runs, although it's very rough. The 160 isn't running, but it's clean, complete, and will make an easy restore, or perhaps used as the basis of one of those 160cc class vintage racers they run up at PIR and SIR.
The BMW R60 is also complete, but very rough, and missing the title. I'd like to build an ISDT replica out of it. (hard to beleive, but in the 50's and 60's, BMW actually entered 600cc twins in a number of ISDT's)
The Kawasaki is a bike that I bought new, and allowed to slip into a serious state of neglect. It rusted pretty badly during my years living across the street from the beach in SF. It's sort of a work in progress, I've bought a lot of replacement parts, had the frame powder coated. Engine needs a complete rework, including crankshaft rebuild.
The Triumph and BSA stuff was part of the deal when I got the BSA 441. Two frames, one set of fenders, two gas tanks, a huge collection of miscellaneous engine parts. Those little 250 singles don't inspire me enough to be really serious about them. I keep the parts as swap meet trading stock. Maybe someday, I'll build a little trials bike out of one of them. They make very good woods bikes.

I wonder if they'll accept an Oregonian who's trapped in the People's Republic of Kalifornia...

If so, we should invite FYF.

Californians are welcome. I've used more then my fair share of thier roads. Highway 36 outside humbolt anybody?

No Carlo, that's not me in the sig. That's a Kawi GP bike back in the days before traction control ruled the circuits. these days I do my daily commuting / riding on the RC51, which everybody here is sick of hearing me talk about. Are you a P-town dweller as well or are you closer to home?

Are you a P-town dweller as well or are you closer to home? Nope, I'm here in Eugene. You can find me nearly every Sunday around 11:00 hanging out at Mid-Town Cafe (trying to get out of the habit of calling iy L and L) at 16th and Willamette. Usually, you'll see my red Aprilia Caponord, or my black 1982 BMW R100RT parked on 16th in front of the door.

I'm going to try to make it to your bike night at Papa's occasionally. Probably ride one of the old crocks down there when the weather gets good.

Fixed the quote for ya!

Yeh, I should be there. I usually get there around 10:30, and hang out for anwhere between a half hour and an hour and a half, depending on what's going on.

You can pretty much count on seeing me there at 11:00 no matter what.
Hope you can make it.
