Lets ride!
Do we want to do the group ride thing again this sunday? If so, suggestions on where and when? Or is the Shell station going to be the regular meeting place?

This is the standard meeting place and meeting time Mike, it seems to work for everyone:yes: Any suggestions on where to ride to?
I'll be there... Still getting familiar with the 929. Different riding position and lots more power than my VFR.

Im in as usual  Maybe we can make it a bit longer ride than last sunday. I haven't ridden around this area much yet because I havent been here very long (Maybe about a month now), and would like to check out as many good riding roads as possible.
If your open to making a day of it, I can show you some fun roads...
Just have to decide on going north or south and we'll eventually hit the coast.

Now that would really be awesome! would you want to meet up earlier than the usual noon? It would be great if others could join in on this as well.
Ok... how's 10am sound and everyone is welcome to join in. If we head north, I can show how to find to Beaver... errr, I mean the town of Beaver, OR.

ill be gone this weekend.... the shell station was just something i started a few months ago to get things rolling. If someone wants to post up a ride that meets somewhere else or at a different time then go for it. aufderheide might be clear

Last summer I took a ride over to Florence, headed south and then over to Roseburg. Took I-5 north to home (accidently did 170 mph:angel: ). It was a beautiful ride with some great twisties from Florence to R-berg. I don't recall what the Hiways name was though. It took about 3-4 hours with scienic and food stops included. I would certainly be up for that again.:ride:

I am also wondering if it is 10 or noon. Early afternoon will be ideal riding temps, although, by late afternoon we will be hitting temps around 100 in parts of the valley and surrounding areas so I would vote for an early departure and getting off the road before 1-2PM. I was out quite a bit yesterday and it was HOT but nothing compared to what's going to come our way today. The track up in Portland should be sticky, tire boiling hot.

I would like to get an early start around 10 am if we can...Im trying to get ahold of tron to see if he is still up to the Beaver or Coast ride. If anyone has his number and could give him a call it would be helpful.
If anyone hasn't left yet, I'll be at the Station at noon.:cycle:

Yep, Noon sounds good. keep it simple.
Well we had a small group of 5 bikes. Fun roads, and good riding. Had a chance to push the 929 a little.
Anyways, sorry about the bike breaking down in Loraine. Big thanks to Justin for his assistance in getting my bike home. I owe you one!!!

yea, sorry I didnt make it. Im just not feeling well today so thought it best to sit home.
What happened to the bike tron??
The battery died on the 929. We stopped in Loraine and the bike wouldn't start. With some help, we push started it but it wouldn't stay running. All indications point to the voltage regulator/rectifier. The battery seems ok, just wasn't charging and after 3 hours of riding, it didn't have any more juice to start the bike or keep the bike running...
Glad I still have the VFR...
