Aufhenhide road report 3-15-07

Not sure if I spelled it right anyways---

Made an attempt to run it today from the Hwy 126 side going South to Westfir.
The road was pretty clean to the bridge on the South Fork. That's the best part of the ride anyways.
Ran into snow 26 miles in. Quickly came upon 8 - 10 inches covering both lanes. Almost made it to the top.
The road is filthy dirty with much windfall and a few trees down on the road with a path chainsawed thru.
No place for an old man on 954RR. Maybe if I would have had some knobbys, perhaps I might have tried it. LOL

Give it a couple more weeks of sunshine.

yeah. That road (Aufderheide) is rarely ready before May/June. Ya gotta give the crews time to clear all the debris! :)

Don't worry about the spelling. Most of us flub it.
