Group Ride Saturday, April 7

Update 2007-04-07 12:40 PM: I have to leave the house and won't be back until after 2, so here's the deal: I'm in. That is, if it's not raining at 3, I'll be there. If it is raining, I won't be. Hopefully it will be nice and I'll see all your lovely faces there!


I couldn't change the title on the other thread (http://www.eugenesportbike.com/forum/showthread.php?t=696) so I thought I'd repost to avoid any confusion.

Anyway, details are as follows:
Meeting Time: 3:00 PM (as if we would ride at 3am!)
Meeting Place: Shell station, 30th Ave (LCC) exit off I-5 (it's on the East side of I-5)

The route I have in mind will probably take close to 3 hours, but we won't be more than 30 minutes from town so people can break off as they need.

If it looks like rain tomorrow, I will post a cancellation notice no later than 2PM.

i really want to go but i went on a ride today and watched a rider loose it at about 75. i paniced and locked up my brakes, drifted for about 20 yards and barely recovered. just ask nick, i filled hie face with smoke. anyway my nerves are shot, i wanna be more clear headed while practicing corners. maybe you and i can get together sometime and teach me slowly one on one.

i cant remember the riders name. he isnt an esb member yet. he was only an accuaintance of mine for about 10 min. i dont really know much about him, i think hes ok.

Yeah he's ok but I cant say the same about his knee or his bike....You could see his bone but other than that he was just shaken up a bit...Too bad it was his first ride....EVER.

sorry to hear that that guy was hurt so badly on his first ride! thats terrible news... i hope he heals up soon and is determined enough to ride again

i feel sorry for him when his girlfriend finds out. she bought him the bike and told him he wasn't allowed to ride unless he had ALL of the top of the line gear. well obviously he hadnt bought the pants and shoes yet.

It started to drizzle as I left my house... and that was the only rain I saw the rest of the day!! Thanks for the awesome ride guys - I had a blast. :D
