Well, we were up this way for a camping trip this weekend and wanted to provide a road report.
As to be expected for this time of year, there was a moderate amount of debri on the road (sticks, rocks, pine branches). Not as bad as I have seen it in past years but still passable. We hit the peak and didn't see any snow on the road but there was plenty on the sides. Didn't make it down the backside into West Fir but the North side acutally looked ridable (with caution).
Anyways, just wanted to pass it on. :2cents: :blah-blah

As long as the road is cleaner than this, I'm ready. :ride:
The snow level is supposed to be around 6000ft. This is only about 4000ft, but it's on the north side of the hill. oops.

thanks for the update brandon, i'm hoping to hit aufderheide once before i move next month :) I knew I was pretty close to the summit and I just didn't want to turn around and ride back to CG. It's not a dual sport, it's not a sport bike..... It's a fool sport.
Anyway, I'm definitely game for Aufderhide next month. I'll be gone the week of 6/4, but other than that I'll do what I can to make a ride.

Well, I just got back from riding the Aufderhide. I started from West Fir side and around 19 miles into it there is a road crew working on the road. After around a 10 min. wait(much needed) I was back at it. Reconed a few camp sites on the way up. Good times. To be honest I only saw a small amount of road debris and no snow. This was my second time riding this road the first being 15 years ago. :ride: Take advantage of this great weather and go ride it.:ride:
