I just got my new 1-pc Komodo leather suit. Just wanted to post up about it. First off, I have tried 4 other one pc. suits, some SAYING they were a 54/64, but nothing seemed to fit. (I am 6'5" and 265) All the "big" companies seem to run lil man sizing or something. Fieldsheer doesn't even make the 54 any more.
So for any big guys/tall guys looking for leathers, these guys are it. I was looking at having them make me a custom suit, but when I sent in my measurments to the place I got tme from ( firedogracing.com ) he said the company swore the off the shelf 52 would fit. And it does, really well. And it saved me $400.
My only complaint would be that they took a while to ship, but in the defense of Komodo, they had closed for 5 days so all the workers could go to Miller Motorsports park... NICE...
Anyway, after having Alpinestar, Joe Rockets and others to try, the quality of this suit is sooooo much better. It's really a race suit, with up to 2" of padding and armor. The shoulders have hard armor on the ourside and then foam inside, with Ce hard, and then more foam, same with the elbows.
It's got the hump on the back, shin pads, perfed, vented, 1.5mm min. Just wanted to pass on a good thing. THe suit was $849 shipped, less than $200 more than the Alpinestar I was looking at. Anyway sorry for droaning, but I was just sooo impressed with them, and Brian at Firedog Racing for taking lots of time to help me get good leathers for a good price. :clapping:
OK, thats all I guess... oh, FIredog also carries all kinds of sportbike stuff. SOme forefoghters (AKA: Hero's) out of California the opened the site to suport their racing habbit.... so look em up. :blah-blah
Later... Remember, Monday ride to the coast from SUtherlin!!!!!!!!:ride: :ride:
